Englewood, CO—August 2, 2005 - M2M Data Corporation, an Internet-based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) leader, today announced that its AlertServices™ products have been enhanced to support Demand Poll and GPS location functionality.

As low cost solutions, AlertServices™ products, were initially released with only report-by-exception functionality. This ensured efficient use of satellite bandwidth and maintain low operating cost, however customers requested Demand Poll functionality for greater operational flexibility and to provide remote support to service technicians onsite.

The addition of GPS location functionality was also customer-driven. Although most of M2M’s customer operate stationary equipment such as compressors, generators, natural gas wells, etc. it is not uncommon for equipment to be relocated, so location notification upon power-up simplifies and automates equipment location tracking.
