UDP, HTTP, PPP, DHCP, etc.) & physical interfaces (e.g. RS232).

landline (dedicated and dial-up), Ku band VSAT, spread spectrum radio,
digital cellular, Cellemetry, Aeris, analog cellular (AMPS), & two-way
paging.
- Supports dial-up ISP connectivity.
- Supports a wide range of meter communications protocols.
- Supports a wide range of device interfaces (e.g. analog, digital,
pulse, RS232, and RS485).
- Interacts with meters (generally poll as master) to collect data.
- Encapsulates native data in TCP packets & transmit to server.
- Receives TCP encapsulated native data from server & retransmit
to field device using device protocol.
- Remote configuration of polling table & other parameters.
- Remote debugging.
- Supports encryption of data transmitted to server.
- Includes local port for configuration & debugging.
