PLE
601
The Cat® Product Link™ Elite hardware can include a PLE641(cellular), PLE631(satellite) or a customer supplied Internet connection. This hardware allows you to collect and monitor the information needed to maximize the performance of your assets, proactively identify issues that may affect your operations and quickly respond to any events that may occur.
- Class 1
- Division 2 Certifiable
Power | 9 to 32 Vdc |
---|---|
RS485 | 1 |
Digital Inputs | 4 |
Features & Benefits
- Sleep Current: 1.5 mA @ 12V, 2.3 mA @ 24V (wakes to Keyswitch, DCD Wakeup, STB Wakeup)
- Idle Current: 50-200 mA @12/24V
- Peak Current: < 2A @24V
- 4 Digital Input: Active low signal ready
- R-terminal Input: Ready for direct connection
- Key Switch Input: Active high signal ready to detect ignition key switch operation
- When the configuration file is loaded into the PLE601, the gateway functionality is enabled. The gateway functionality allows the customer to read equipment data using various industrial protocols over RS-232, RS-485, or TCP/IP. The standard configuration provided by Caterpillar is customized to the engine. The configuration also includes a standard protocol mapping that is consistent across all engines. Industrial protocols supported by the PLE601 include:
- Modbus Master and Slave
- Allen Bradley Ethernet I/P
- Siemens S7.
The gateway functionality can also be used to bring data to the PLE601 from other devices and added to the Customer Defined Parameters. - When the PLE601 is combined with the PL641, PL631, or a customer supplied internet connection, remote collection of equipment information is enabled. The information that is available remotely includes*:
- Location of the Equipment
- Engine Running Hours
- Diesel Fuel Used
- Fault Codes
- Alerts (Engine Status, Fault Codes, Device Status, Geo, Boundary, Battery Voltage, Fuel Level, and Power Loss)
- Engine Parameters (Engine Speed, Engine Coolant, Temperature, Engine Oil Pressure, and Engine Load Factor)
- Customer Defined Parameters (Determined by Subscription).
*Note: Not all information is available on every piece of equipment. The reporting frequency of the information is determined by the subscription.
